Lorne Greene stars in this television classic as Commander Adama, the leader of the Battlestar Galactica, the human colonies' flagship. About to sign a peace treaty with their long time enemies the Cylons, the colonies find themselves the victim of a sneak attack that destroys most of the colonies' ships. So, now the Galactica must lead the remnants of the colonial fleet to escape the Cylons and search for the legendary 13th colony. This set contains the entire series of the 1970s sci-fi series.

    Great sci-fi-fi created by Glen A. Larson

    This great little gem has an all star cast including : Richard Hatch ( star of the movie Jan and Dean, also a member of the cast of all my children, no longer airing. Among other works.) Dirks Benedict ( of the A-Team among many of his works.) Lorne Greene (best known as Ben Cartwright in Bonanza) A young Jane Seymour as Sirena. Many well known actors make appearances throughout out the weekly shows. Video is amazing in the time period of filming aka the 70's. Story line of good fighting for survival against evil. I give it a 5 out of 5 for clean wholesome family viewing. A good value and source of entertainment. Recommended for all ages.

    The Original Battlestar Galactica

    For fans of the Original 1970's Battlestar Galactica Series, this is A great find. Though unofficial dubbed "the Cylon fight of the week", for those of us still wanting more of the exciting Special Effects we had seen in StarWars, and more food for thought on Space Travel, Glen Larson's story found A special place in America's living rooms on Sunday prime time. Now, here is the chance to share with younger viewers that which we grew up with, and what inspired our imaginations to want to reach out to the stars further than our own galaxy.

    BSG ORIGINAL SERIES

    As a fan of this show when it came out . I never missed an epp. I watched for years even when it was on re run. The deleted scenes and extra really make this more enjoyable to watch . Hard to imagine that they actually cut scene from the shows. Wonder if they do this to every show.. Like miami vice and many others. Can't wait to get other show series. The quality of the dvd are excellent. Full screen though. So it does work ok on wide screen tv The book it come with us very informative and the box. What can one say it awesome Love the item and series . Worth every dollar.

    Sturdy construction. Very nice retrospective, collector's edition to enjoy for year to come. Durable product.

    DVD Case is in excellent condition. The Booklet that comes inside provides excellent photographs and summaries of BG episodes. The product design with Cylon head is well put together. The interior DVD packaging with background photos is also very appealing. Worth the value.
