    Adequate mass-produced electro-mechanical device. Functional but not exciting.

    The wood screws for mounting are a little skimpy. The electrical terminals are close together, and the clearance could be better, although this seems to be true for other models. Traditional solenoid and rectangular steel bar bell design reminiscent of 1960's-1070's era. The sound is a little thinner than vintage traditional doorbells, but adequate. Only took a few minutes to install. Affordable.

    Ding dong! Perfect mechanical sound

    I really like the mechanical sounds; way better than any other artificial sound. I just replace the old electrical one with this chime. Never rely on battery, simply design, no complicated circuit, no chips of any kind, nothing can go wrong.
