Excellent functionality; minor practical issue.
Comfortable to wear (strap a bit fiddly, however): finds satellites well; distances seem accurate; battery lasts well (36 no problem); easy to update. My only issue is with the operation of the up/down (left-side) buttons. The watch needs to be braced/pinched when using them (e.g. for accessing hazard info during play), and it is easy to activate the right-side buttons while doing so. Easy to operate. The more expensive GPS Watches had too many "bells and whistles" for someone who "just" wants to know the distance to the green. This is the second one I've had. Pretty Decent for the money

This worked well until I had to connect to Garmin express for a software update on my home course. This was my second Garmin approach. I did the update on the 1st one with no problems. I then lost it and bought this one. This time it kept stopping during the update and then it lost everything except the time and date. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Garmin support. I get what i need with the Garmin GPS!
It is not the prettiest of watches but it has been accurate with distances. The watch versus the hand held GPS finder is faster in telling the distances. Lots of functionality in an affordable watch for the occasional golfer.
So far, so good. I miss the heft of the Garmin Approach S1 but this has more useful functions - front, middle and back of the greens, plus distance to water, bunkers, etc. So ... really happy with this watch. I've only had a chance to use it once, but I've been super happy with the quality / reliability of Garmin products so I expect I'll be using this watch for a decade. It was simple and fast to add the S10 to my Garmin Express for software updates / course updates. And it was easy to remove the S1.
