Great value in it's use, could be cheaper in price considering it's lightweight plastic makeup.
A very useful and must have tool for the serious cyclists. This device, whether stand alone or through the app, gives the user the ability to create road/MTB courses and to track your stats/progress. The material quality of the unit itself however is lightweight plastic and feels cheap and not worth $400+, however the value is in its use and integration with a nice road or mtb bike, making it a complete unit. It also recognizes and connects to my sram red eTap drive train. Love it!

EDGE 830 much better than the EDGE 530.
I read several reviews that recommended the Edge 530 as the best GPS cycling computer, so I bought that. But having to use the buttons for all the functionality was a real pain (plus that particular 530 was defective). So upgraded to the EDGE 830 and LOVE it! The touch screen is really really great! Note: if you have an iPhone 11 and you bought the EDGE 830 before Apr 23, 2020, you will need to update the firmware with Edge 830 software version 5.44 Beta. Otherwise, try as you may, you will NOT be able to pair the EDGE 830 with your iPhone 11. But with the update, it pairs first time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This Garmin Edge 830 replaces my 7-yr old Edge 520, whose side-buttons all deteriorated within a few days of each other! This replacement is relatively easy to set-up, using the same functions and training parameters for which the Edge series is known. The touch-screen is a welcome addition, though this function does not work well when wearing long-fingered gloves.
