This well-balanced club offers easy alignment with optimum distance and maximized forgiveness. With a weighted club, the golf club head is positioned around the perimeter. When the club is located at the center, every millimeter counts when it comes to accuracy. This Silver Scot Iron is not too thick on the top line, or too fat on the sole, providing an easy alignment.

    Used Tommy Armour 845 S Silver Clubs

    I am a Senior player who hasn't played golf in quite some time. My brother in law who is former junior high golf coach used to own a set of these years ago said good things about these irons.     Oldies cannot be beat.

    How much money are you going to throw at new clubs and equipment before you realize ITS YOUR SWING. These Armour 845's have been THE investment cast, cavity back club since they were released in 1988, and they simply cannot be beat. The cavity itself is balanced, so your clubhead mass perfectly surrounds the (vastly increased) sweet spot. The subtle and progressive offset of the clubs from significant (2-3 irons,) to almost nil, (pw) are super helpful when you can't quite square up the face on the longer irons. Many strokes saved with this alone. I can't get over how good they look at address, with a perfect face and topline, and a narrow, radiused sole to get through the ground quickly. (Your average forged irons are very sharp in this area, and love to DIG when they can.) My set included the upgraded Dynamic Gold S300 shafts, which are a bit heavier and stiffer than the originals, (which are completely fine.) You get a bit more solid hit with these, and a bit lower trajectory. Nothing major. Tour wrap grips of old came with mine, which is a perfect set of grips that likewise cannot be improved upon. All in all, my lifetime set. Get yours today.

    really messed up

    The clubs in there original condition were s great set of clubs but, these were in bad shape, they needed to be bent to factory specs, shaft and grips needed replacing.

    Excellent vintage irons

    You really can't go wrong with these classic irons. These are the foundation irons that most modern game improvement irons are based on. Simple, yet stylish and effective. The lofts will be greater than modern irons, so expect less carry. But they are worth playing and will not disappoint.
